A truly special coffee from La Candelilla Micromill in Costa Rica’s Tarrazú region.
We visited La Candelilla in February, where we spent time with the farmers and cupped many of their coffees. This Gesha was one that stood out.
Gesha is a unique variety known for its delicate, expressive character. It’s more difficult to grow, produces a smaller yield and requires careful attention from the farm through processing. This natural-process lot brings beautiful notes of red berry, soft caramel and brown sugar.
Being able to visit the farm where this coffee was grown and now roast it here in Steinbach makes this one extra special to us. It’s a direct connection from the farmers who grew it to the cup you’re drinking.
